The Ringers

Bell ringing is an absorbing hobby which will last a lifetime. Your involvement can remain local or can extend further afield. There are over 5000 ringing peals of bells throughout the country and visitors to their practices and service ringing are always welcome.

The present band of ringers comprises of 12 adults and 7 teenagers. We hold a practice every Wednesday evening and we ring before the 9.15am and 6.30pm services every Sunday as well as other special services as required.

The Society was registered as a charity on 11th July 1979, with the main  object being “the advancement of religion by ringing for Sunday services and special religious occasions”. The Society supports this aim by teaching change ringing to its members and providing financial assistance to maintain the bells and fittings.
